Without further delay, let's hear from the expert...

After the thaw of winter and trotting around in heavy salt covered boots we are more than ready to bust out some pretty shoes. While there’s likely still a bit of winter left we thought it would be fun to showcase what’s coming down the pipe (i.e. some things to look forward to).

We’ve rounded up all the it-shoes for Spring / Summer as seen on the runway, and with everything from beautiful details like bows, and appliques to oxfords, and boots with buckles there really is a shoe for that!

Shoe Trends for Spring / Summer 2018

 1)         Socks and Sandals.

Yup it’s back, but not the way you remember. Lace up shoes/boots are a huge trend, but you can have fun with layering socks underneath especially on those cold spring days (we love a monochrome look or a sparkly sock under a solid colored shoe.

2)         Details, Details, Details.

Look for anything with bows, straps, or appliques you’re going to see it all this spring. We love these Spanish inspired slip-ons with embellishments, and embroidery.

3)         Boots with buckles.

If you’re looking for a way to juxtapose all the florals for Spring consider these bad a$$ boots from Browns

4)         Oxfords.

Snake skin + platform both were featured heavily on the runway, and this shoe from Nine West definitely hits both marks (and then some)

Also love these oxfords too...

 5)         Low Block Heel.

Not all your dressy shoes need to kill your feet. These beautiful sandals from Le Chateau will allow you hit all the marks, and do so all night long!

6)         Cowboy Inspired Boots.

Add a Western flare to any look with these beautiful faux leather cowboy inspired boots. We think these booties would pair effortlessly any flirty dress in your closet and just top with a fitted denim jacket and you’re looking at your spring/summer uniform.

7)          Strappy Flats.

Take your flats up a notch with these gorgeous beaded strappy flats from Zara. Pair with your favorite jeans, or dresses!

8)         Wrap Around the Ankle + Anything Pink.

When we think Spring shoes we think these ballet inspired sandals from Ted Baker. Pink is having a MAJOR moment right now, and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. So feel free to unleash your inner girlie girl. And can we talk about that bow?? CUTENESS OVERLOAD.

A special thank you to Kayla Short
for giving us her insight on the latest shoe trends
coming our way this spring/summer.
